Fishing Derby at Silver Lake - 2008

Last Saturday morning Ryan took the boys to a fishing derby for kids at Silver Lake, just up the street from our house. It's an annual event that's held every May for kids to introduce them to fishing. The lake is stocked with fish and they net them into a certain area in the lake so that each child gets to experience the thrill of catching a fish!! For $5 the kids get a t-shirt, a nice fishing rod and 3-4 fish. It's a great program that the city puts on here and a much anticipated tradition for our boys!

Grant caught the first fish of the morning.

Calvin having fun fishing.

Dallin catching a fish. Love the look on his face, he was so excited!

Cute Boys!

The other day it finally got sunny outside and I think it was about 63 degrees. Whoo hoo, not that warm but a nice change compared to the rainy weather we had been having. Grant got home from school and asked for a towel to take outside. I gave him a beach towel and then went back to what I was doing inside. About 10 minutes later I looked outside to find my boys sunbathing, all with their shirts off, even little Dallin!! It was really cute!
