Igloo

Christmas night Ryan, the boys, Christian and Bobbie Jo all went outside to build a igloo in the backyard! They started around 8-8:30pm. Christian cut blocks of snow with a snow saw from all the packed snow in our driveway from shoveling it multiple times. Then he or one of the boys would carry a block to the backyard where the construction was going on. Ryan was standing in the middle of the igloo maintaining the internal structure while Bobbie Jo and the boys worked on the external structure. They all worked together great and around 10:30 they were finished. Grant, Dallin and Bobbie Jo came in for the night while the others stayed outside to modify the entrance to the igloo. They had alot of fun and were very proud of their work. We still can't believe that we had enough snow here to actually build an igloo!!!

Let it SNOW!

Last Saturday it began to snow at our house. We knew that snow was coming since the weather man had be forecasting it all week. The boys were so excited, first snow if the season!! The boys had hoped that it would of started snowing during the day so they could play in it but they were disappointed when it started snowing after dark! We went out as a family that evening and when we got home around 9:30pm Ryan told the boys he would take them out in the snow. The were soooooo excited!! What a fun dad they have!! So by 10pm they were all bundled up and ready to play in the snow, Dad included! Luke and I hung out inside and watched the boys play, Luke was laughing and having fun watching the boys play in the snow. I tried to get some pictures of them playing but it was so dark. When they came in about 45 minutes later they got their p.j.'s on then they had hot cocoa to warm them up. Then it was off to bed. They slept so good, dreaming of fun in the snow!

The cats out of the bag......

So, the cats out of the bag here at our house so I figure it's time to share with my friends.....we are expecting #5!! I'm due June 10th, so I'm just finishing my first trimester. I am hoping now that the first trimester is about over that I will be able to find some energy again. Wow! I have been so exhausting up to this point, either I'm getting to old or I have to may kids already!! :) We are very excited to be expecting another child and feel very blessed for this opportunity! The boys are excited, Grant wants another boy and Calvin wants a girl!! I'm one of those people who likes to find out what we are having so on Jan. 6th (Grant's b-day) we are scheduled for a ultrasound.
Life is good and we have so much to be thankful for in our family!!

Luke - 15 months

These pictures of Luke were taken last week at Calvin's soccer game. There is a dad of one of the players on his soccer team who takes pictures every week at the games. He does photography on the side as a hobby. I think these shots turned out great!
Luke is now 15 months and growing like a weed. He is so much fun and such a happy and calm baby! We love him!

Pumpkin Patch - October 11, 2008

Last Saturday we headed out to the pumpkin patch for our annual trip to pick out pumpkins! It was a perfect fall day. The air was crisp and the pumpkins perfect for the pickin'. The boys had a blast wondering through the field searching for the perfect pumpkin. Everyone found one and Ryan even found a giant one, 50+ pounds!! It should be lots of fun carving them later this month.

Ebeys Landing - Whidbey Island

Last weekend while up on Whidbey Island we decided to go on a hike to Ebey's Landing. It's a beautiful hike and one that we have hesitated taking the boys on until they were a little older because you basically are hiking on the side of a steep large hill and parts of the trail are fairly narrow and there is no guard rail to protect you. My mom had Dallin for the morning so we decide to go for it seeing as Ryan and I would each have one child to "man", as Luke rides on Ryan's back on the pack. It was a beautiful day, sunny, warm and just the perfect breeze to keep you cool.....what more could you ask for! The hike round trip is about 4.5 miles, half hiking on the hillside and then onto the beach. We made it in just under 2 hours. Very relaxing and beautiful. The boys were champs too!!

Driftwood down on the beach, perfect to make forts with!!

Night of Remembrance

Last weekend was a Night of Remembrance for my grandma Lulu up on Whidbey Island at her church building. It was a night for family in the area, ward members, and friends of my grandma's to come together and celebrate her life. It was the great of idea of my cousin Jake, and was pulled of by many family members and a very helpful ward family. It was a wonderful night to remember stories about grandma and hear new ones too. She was very loved by many people and it was a very sweet experience that I will cherish! We had a table in the cultural hall to display photos and memories of grandma. I have posted a few below, some of which I have never seen before. I also posted a few pictures of family, not very many though I wasn't carrying my camera with me the whole time. Anywho, enjoy!
