HaPpY 4th BiRtHdAy LuKe!

This year we were on vacation for Luke's 4th birthday. So when we got home we had a Cowboy Birthday Party for our cute 4 year old Sheriff! He invited kids from his primary class and some of his cousins. We had a Cowboy Carnival and we all had a blast! Luke is such a special, loving and fun boy. We are so thankful that he is in our family!

Happy 3rd Birthday Luke!!

Luke turned 3 years old today @ 7:26am! We feel so lucky to have Luke in our family. He is such a fun boy with lots of energy and love for life!

A day at the beach

Last Friday was such a beautiful day and the boys had a half day at school so I decided to pull them out early from school and take them to the beach up at Whidbey Island.  We don't get very many really nice days here in the Spring so I had to take advantage!!  Also, my mom was up at my Grandmas beach house working so we had somewhere to hang out.

The tide was out so the boys had fun exploring the tide pools and digging in the sand for treasures!  As we were sitting on the deck we saw a couple of bald eagles fly overhead then they landed on the sand not to far from us. There was one adult bald eagle and then one yearling eagle. It was neat to see them fly so gracefully through the air and to see how big they really are, their wing span is amazing!

It was a wonderful day at the beach and the boys had so much fun! Needless to say they all slept really well that night :)

Luke - 18 months

Just wanted to share Luke's 18 month pictures! He is getting so big! At his well child check-up earlier this month they said that he had grown 2 inches since his Novemeber check-up!! He is such a sweet little guy who is trying to control his screaming by finding other ways to communicate, thank goodness.

So cute! (I know the scratch on his forehead is beautiful but the picture place wanted $25 to photoshop that out........I laughed thinking they were kidding but they weren't. We like the scratch there thank you very much!!!)

Luke - 15 months

These pictures of Luke were taken last week at Calvin's soccer game. There is a dad of one of the players on his soccer team who takes pictures every week at the games. He does photography on the side as a hobby. I think these shots turned out great!

Luke is now 15 months and growing like a weed. He is so much fun and such a happy and calm baby! We love him!

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school, yeah!! The boys were so excited!! Grant started 2nd grade and has his same teacher from last year, Mrs. Roberts, 1st and 2nd are "looped" in this district. And Calvin started kindergarten, his teacher is Mrs. Coffman. They picked out their clothes last night so that they would look really cool for today! Grant was up and at it early this morning, he even made his bed before school! Ryan walked Grant over to school and Calvin followed (even though he has PM kindergarten) just to check things out. After Calvin got back from taking Grant it was literally 10 minutes later he asked if it was time for him to go now! He was really excited and I think he asked maybe 6 or 7 more time this morning about when his school time was. We headed over to the school for Calvin around noon. He got right in line with his class and was just checking' everything and everybody out, he was very serious. His teacher came to take them to the classroom and he didn't even look back, very focused. After I got him off I headed to The Claim Jumper in Lynnwood for lunch with some friends. We all talked about how everything went for the first day of school, it was alot of fun and of course yummy food!! I picked the boys up from school at 2:45 and thankfully they both had a great first day of school and are super excited for tomorrow!

Swim Lessons

The boys have been taking swimming lessons this summer at a community pool. Grant and Calvin have really enjoyed the water and learning how to swim. Dallin enjoyed swim lessons too, but only for the first week!! Now I can't even get him to put on his swim trunks to go to the pool let alone talk about swim class! I don't quite know what happened to make him so afraid of the water. He seemed to have such a great first week of class, he like his teacher, the games were fun, etc. Anyone else run into a similar problem with their kids that want to give me some advice? I don't want to force him into the pool and make him afraid of the water but I know that if he attends his class he will have such a great time....what to do??

Happy 1st Birthday Luke!!

Today my baby Luke turned 1!! I can't believe how this past year has just flown by, it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. It has been a wonderful year and he is such a great little guy! We just love him to pieces!! We spent the day over at my parents house, all of my siblings and their families were in town, so Luke got to see all of his cousins from the Niccum side today. We had a little birthday dinner and party for Luke tonight at my parents. After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Luke and had his cake all ready for him to devour and make a mess with, but apparently he had to big of an audience and he got to shy to even touch his cake. We are saving it for tomorrow and hopefully he can have fun eating it (I'll have to post pictures if he decides to dig in!!). After the cake eating attempt we let him open up his presents with a little help from his brothers and cousins of course! We even got him a walker since he isn't walking yet, he doesn't even crawl yet!! Oh the life a the fourth child, everyone gets things for him and I carry him everywhere, there is no need for him to have to crawl or walk :) Don't worry for any of you who are wondering if this is normal or not, my doctor says it's totally normal for children to do this especially children in bigger families! All and all I think he had a fun day, even though to him it was just a normal day, eat, sleep, poop, eat, sleep, etc..... We sure had fun celebrating having him in our family! We love you Luke!

Luke - 11 months

Luke is almost a year old, wow!! He is growing like a weed and just a ball of fun and loves! He always has a smile for you and has the cutest 6 teeth to show off when he does. What a cutie!!

Luke - 10 months

What a cutie this little guy has become! He is already 10 1/2 months and changing everyday. He is so much fun and such a great baby, I can't complain. He now has 6 teeth!!! He has learned to say "Mama" even though he would rather say "Dada", he does humor me once in awhile!!! He also can say "bahbah" for Byebye and does a super cute wave goodbye with both hands.

Luke - 9 months

Luke is now 9 months old! I took these pictures of him today, he was in such a good mood and being a good sport for mom. Thenafter about 10-15 minutes he had enough and wasn't afraid to tell me, see the last two pictures. I couldn't resist, I just had to post them! He's cute even when he's upset :)

Luke - 8 months

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe that my baby is 8 months old already!! He has grown so much over the past month. He can sit up now, he loves to play with his toys, he can pick up his own food (cheerios, gerber snacks, etc.), he eats 3 meals a day and best of all......he sleeps through the night!!! Most nights anyway, but we'll take it! He is easy going and such a happy baby who loves smiles at everyone :)
