Today my baby Luke turned 1!! I can't believe how this past year has just flown by, it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. It has been a wonderful year and he is such a great little guy! We just love him to pieces!! We spent the day over at my parents house, all of my siblings and their families were in town, so Luke got to see all of his cousins from the Niccum side today. We had a little birthday dinner and party for Luke tonight at my parents. After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Luke and had his cake all ready for him to devour and make a mess with, but apparently he had to big of an audience and he got to shy to even touch his cake. We are saving it for tomorrow and hopefully he can have fun eating it (I'll have to post pictures if he decides to dig in!!). After the cake eating attempt we let him open up his presents with a little help from his brothers and cousins of course! We even got him a walker since he isn't walking yet, he doesn't even crawl yet!! Oh the life a the fourth child, everyone gets things for him and I carry him everywhere, there is no need for him to have to crawl or walk :) Don't worry for any of you who are wondering if this is normal or not, my doctor says it's totally normal for children to do this especially children in bigger families! All and all I think he had a fun day, even though to him it was just a normal day, eat, sleep, poop, eat, sleep, etc..... We sure had fun celebrating having him in our family! We love you Luke!

Hi Heather! This last year did fly by! I can't belive Luke is 1! He is such a cutie! He is looking more like his brothers now too! All cute!! Interesting note about the slower to crawl and walk. Ryan was slower also. He crawled at 11 months and just started walking maybe two days ago at 14 months. I have been helping him learn by holding his hand and letting him walk by me all the time. Hey I am just too tired to carry him everywhere!

So cute! Sad when they turn 1 because they approach "toddlerhood" and no longer are really "babies" - although I still call my 2 year old my baby! Good to see your cute fam.
Hi Heather :) I love the hospital picture so much...that is my favorite shot of me and all my kids. It's just this moment in time when this perfect angel is sent from heaven. A year goes way too fast!!!! That's okay though, you have plenty of time to try for more :) lol By the way, thought I might add that three of my friends all got a girl after their fourth boy. Of course, they also got a sixth boy after that :) If Wayland and I could've, we would've loved four, five, six boys....however many we could get. I'm weird, but I love baby boys....little tennies....nike clothes. And the best part, no twelve year old girl hormones (they are pretty bad :) Your family is beautiful....still jealous of your gorgeous scenery up there. Hey....got any good Young Women's ideas? Love to swap with ya :)
